Isolytix Ltd was founded as a company in 2008 by Ken Neal.

After working in various settings in analytical chemistry for the last 20 years, Ken has spent the last 10 years exclusively in stable isotopes. Ken spent four years at Oxford University, before becoming Laboratory Manager at the stable isotope lab at Bradford University.

Then after a short spell at GNS Science in Wellington Ken moved to Isotrace in Dunedin for four years where he ended up as Laboratory Manager.
